Moderate aftershocks hit quake- weary South Island
A earthquake out of the blues, have struck Kaikoura after midnight. Warnings has been saying that Auckland might get a Tsunami. The first earthquake struck at 8:17 am, 4.9. A second later it struck again, 4.9. Then the last one was at 8:19 am at 5.0. Aftershocks have been rumbling through the night around am the earthquake and aftershocks have been striking again. Warnings has been warned around New Zealand and may cause, Tsunami, Floods, Heavy rain and many more. Civil References group has sent people to help the people that was strucked by the earthquake which is Kaikoura. Many other people needs to be saved. The cause of the earthquake was really bad, many people have recorded the incident and have put it on Social Media.
Buildings, windows and many other things have crashed down onto the floor with a big BANG!! The Chinese government has sent Chinese people to get the Chinese national out of Kaikoura. It will be really hard with all these people driving on the roads to get out of Kaikoura, with only one lane with the people to drive on. Many Auckland Police are sent down to Kaikoura to direct the peoples on the road. 600 people stay in a Marae at Kaikoura, and the Auckland have sent people to get the stranded TOURIST!! that needs help.
Kaikoura have been loosing water, food and many other needs supplies. One night the Marlborough District Council said that the water will only last for 3 days. So people are trying to get out of the incident and don't want to be hurt. Auckland are trying their best to help the people in Kaikoura.

Today in room 9, we are writing a reflection on a specific article that we have chosen from NZ Herald. The whole class is researching on this article, because a sudden earthquake have stuck Kaikoura with a Earthquake that is out of the blues. I found this article interesting because, I found that it was so AWESOME!! and I wanted to know more about the earthquake that happened. I found this article a bit challenging because, I couldn't find the true information of when did the earthquake struck. There was different kinds of time when the earthquake struck. My new ideas, is to research more on this article.My next steps are to find out the true information on the earthquake that happened.
