John Key

John key has been the New Zealand Prime Minister for 10 years, starting from 2006 to 2016. He He was the 38th Prime Minister for New Zealand.  He has led the New Zealand party since 2006. He was born August 9, 1961. He is at the age 55. Today in room 9, we are writing a reflection about John Key resigning, and I have written my opinion on top of this text in the DLO, just make sure you read it, to understand my opinion. 🎶Prep for Dine and Dance🎶

WALT: reflect on what we did at Kiwi Can 

🐤Kiwi Can🐤

After morning tea, room 9 went down to the music room and lined up outside. The reason why we lined up outside the classroom is because, we were meant to have the Kiwi Can session in the hall but apparently people were preparing for the Dine and Dance tomorrow night. I was so not happy because I wanted to have it in the hall, but people were inside, so I just went into the music room and sat.........while I was waiting to be called Ms Komor came and got me to go and help. We were watching a movie in the music room and it was Ratatouille. I did not get to watch the first part of the movie, because I had to go and help the people to prepare for the Dine and Dance tomorrow night. When I arrived at the hall, there was Nooroa, Ajani, Paris, Irys and Frances. Then me, Ana and Raena went to the hall and help people to prepare for the Dine and Dance tomorrow night. All we had to do was peel the potatoes and the peel the stickers off the plates.....when we were doing that, Gary and James just came in and I was like WHAT!!! so we just did that and we all managed to finish it all together as a TEAM.

I was working with Paris, Ajani, Frances, Irys and Ana peeling the potatoes while the others were inside like Nooroa, James, Raena and Gary.  They started before us and we finished after them, and that is why they came late into the music room. So we cleaned our mess and took it into the worm farm. After all of that we went back into the Music room and watched for 5 minutes of the movie. I really had a good time, even though I was not in Kiwi Can , but my highlight was that I get to go and help with the prep for Tomorrow night. 

Today I am writing a reflection on what we did at Kiwi Can and I did something else instead of watching a movie. I went to go and help people for the prep for Dine and Dance.

😄Te Reo Maori😄

WALT: write a reflection about a lesson that we were taught about Te Reo Maori language.

Today in room 10 yesterday, we did a task and it was to write a reflection about Te Reo. My teacher Ms Komor has sent some questions to us like for an example: What is Te Reo?, What does Te Reo means in your own words? and ectr. My new ideas that I have found while doing this task, was that I found out that 12% of the world only speak Te Reo Maori language. I did not find anything challenging about this article, because it was interested to look up and research about it and when I was researching I was learning new facts about this task. My next steps are to research on more things about the Te Reo.

WALT: write a reflection on a article that I have read from NZ Herald.

BLACK GOLD

Black Gold is like people cutting their hair off for other people, just because they have short hair. I think that this article is a bit sad, because girls in China are cutting their hair and been forced by their parents, and some girls even escape. I think that the author who wrote this article was meant to warn some people, but I do not know what is the true story behind this article and think that the author is telling us, about what is happening around the world and it is so sad to hear that girls in China would have to cut their hair off. I think that hair is the most popular thing around the world, because people are wanting extensions for them so they can have nice and natural hair, and girls in China don't like their hair short. My new ideas that I was really surprised when I was reading this article and that it shocked me is, when over 200 girls hair has been cut a day, and has been put into extensions a day. I was interested in this article when I first saw it, but when I started to read throughout the whole article, it started to feel sad because these girls would have to cut their hair just for the people who needs hair. I found this article so challenging because, I could not read this article through the whole paragraphs because I was aware and warned when it was set out to the world, and the youngest girl who cut her hair was 10 years of age and she lost her hair. These men are going for the girls with long hair, so that it is easier for the people to have more extensions. I think that it would be better when girls in China would not cut their hair and they would have their long hair back again, and I think they will be happy. But when all the people want to take their hair, then the girls in China would not be happy and the people who got the extensions are happy and proud. My next steps are, to find out more information about this article.

😊 My INTEREST in TRUCKS 😊( Tech Reflection)

WALT: write a reflection on what we did at Technology

Today for Technology, we did all the last minute thing like, finishing up and patching up the the crafts that we did last week the week before. I am reflecting and typing all the things that we did at Tamaki College. I really enjoyed it when we get to draw and what we like for our client, and I  also knew what MDF means. My new ideas is that I learned how to draw a truck on a paper, without tracing it. I really had a fun time at tech, I learned so many things and next week would be our last week for tech and that is it for the year. So I am hoping that I will come next week to finish my craft and take it home for my nephew. My next steps are to, know how to draw other things besides the truck. I am so interested and so...excited for next week.

I will try and do a tree, for something new.

Today in the hall, we were given a task by Ms Komor and Ms Aireen. It was a presentation that we had to complete and it was all about Camp Raglan. I have finished and accomplish all my slides. The task that we had to do on the presentation that was sent to us was, Setting up Goals for Camp. I have made an effort to finish this task, even when it was a bit HARD!! My new ideas that I have learned from this task and it was, that I know what Relating to Others and Participating and Contributing means. Before I did not really know what it meant and I didn't really know what to do, now that I have did the brainstorm about the Topics on Camp, I have improved. My camp goals that I have put onto the presentation is: Confident, Showing Teamwork and Participating. I have found it a bit challenging because it was really hard to brainstorm the things for Relating to others and Contributing and Participating. My next steps are to brainstorm and know more about the topics for Camp.
